Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and has been a board member of the SSC's Board of Directors from 2011, was the founding co-artistic directors of Speech of Fire. While serving as SSC's Artistic Directors, Ash-Morgan also held the positions of costume/set designer, producer, composer/music directors and text coaches. While she was usually the leader within her acting ensemble, in her last season alongside SSC King Lear, she was promoted to director and lighting designer.
